Privacy and safety
Private by default.
We film games, not people. Here’s exactly what we record, who can see it, and how to get something taken down.
- What we record
- Video of the fields and courts we’re set up on, during the hours the venue picks. No audio.
- What happens to footage
- Footage stays on our recorder at the venue for a few days, then it’s overwritten. It only goes online when a player, team, or league asks for their game. Online videos are deleted 14 days after they’re ready.
- Who can see a video
- Only the people who got it, plus anyone they send a link to. That’s the player who bought it, or the league’s roster. Share links are view-only. Venue staff can’t browse player videos.
- No face recognition
- We don’t use face recognition.
- Kids and youth programs
- Venues can block youth program hours so nobody can record them. CourtShot accounts are for adults (18+).
- Opting out and takedowns
- Don’t want to be in a video? Use our request form and we’ll review it. A video can be put on hold right away while we do.
- Payments
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Signs
- Every recorded area has signs at the entrances and on each field and court, linking to our camera notice.
